Sweet Georgia "Dan"

The Making of a Coronary...

Make delicious mocha cake, poke holes, cover cake holes in dulce de leche (home made fyi...) then fill holes with caramel and pecans.

Repeat with middle layer of cake, but cover in pecans.

Stack, fill with lots of icing to fill in any gaps (as if there were any!)
Layer cake with mounds of chocolate mousse icing.
Add more icing, more pecans, more caramel, more chocolate, more dulce de leche...

Call paramedics.

Stuff that Cakehole! (dedicated to Royanne)

Chocolate Cupcakes stuffed with my "secret peanut butter fattness"
Step 1: 2 cups sugar, 1 3/4 cups AP flour, 3/4 cups cocoa, 1.5 tsp baking soda, 1.5 tsp baking powder (mhhmm...both), 1 tsp salt, 2 large eggs, 1 cup of milk, 2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup of oil (whatever you want- tried it all, it all works), 1 cup of boiling water.
Here's the best part! Just throw it all in a big bowl and mix! I suggest adding the boiling water last- so you don't cook the eggs. The batter will be really thin, but it's suppose to be.

Step 2: fill liners 3/4 full...may I once again suggest an ice cream scoop? Use it.

Step 3: Preheat over to 350...ahh... yeah, should have put that in step 1. You're smart, you'll get it. Bake for 22 minutes (based on my oven) or until cake is springy.

Step 4: with piping bag, stuff each cupcake with enough filling to make it swell but not bust. Takes a delicate hand, but again I have faith you can do it.

Step 5: Ice the hole to cover the surprise (mind out of the gutter perverts...)

Step 6: Test drive one so you don't go giving away crappy cupcakes! Just as I thought- tastes like I might be having two. (I don't like icing so I put one aside for me)

Tarts, Tattoos, Cupcakes and Olive

You might think Maisie is an only child...she isn't. Here's Olive- the older sister.

The cast is still pink...she doesn't care

So I took Maisie to the vet on Monday thinking that cast is coming off, I'll be able to see what's going on under there and hoped that she would be getting a smaller model. Nope. Apparently this cast is in such good shape she's got it for another week. Monday we'll reassess, Tuesday a wee sedation and they'll change it. I don't think she cares- she motors just as she always has... she knocks on doors with it. Makes me laugh, except in the night when she rolls over and hits me in the face with it. My vet bills are never ending. She's worth it.

She's 26 and wanted the same thing

I noticed she was cutting the slices quite small. Hmm...only one reason a girl would do such a thing. She's saving it for herself.
