Tarts, Tattoos, Cupcakes and Olive

You might think Maisie is an only child...she isn't. Here's Olive- the older sister.

The cast is still pink...she doesn't care

So I took Maisie to the vet on Monday thinking that cast is coming off, I'll be able to see what's going on under there and hoped that she would be getting a smaller model. Nope. Apparently this cast is in such good shape she's got it for another week. Monday we'll reassess, Tuesday a wee sedation and they'll change it. I don't think she cares- she motors just as she always has... she knocks on doors with it. Makes me laugh, except in the night when she rolls over and hits me in the face with it. My vet bills are never ending. She's worth it.

She's 26 and wanted the same thing

I noticed she was cutting the slices quite small. Hmm...only one reason a girl would do such a thing. She's saving it for herself.

She's 7 and knows what she wants...

Her dad wanted to have me make her a unicorn cake, I said "Are you sure, you should ask her what she wants" He did. She wanted layers, tall, pink and with strawberries. Good thing he asked.

All I got every year for a birthday cake was a McCain's Deep and Delicious Chocolate cake. Love them still.

My Cupcake has a broken leg

Oh no! One week in and I hope she doesn't think this cast is on forever... she's getting a new, smaller one next week (I'm asking for black, hot pink is cute- but dirty already). She has adapted well and is bouncing around like a kangaroo. How do I keep her still? I can't! She's non stop for an hour, then sleeps for 10. I'm just counting down the days until June 1 when it will be off and done with. Least that's the latest the "8-10 week" time frame covers. Until then, she'll continue to act like she has a light saber built in while she scares the hell out of the cat. As I finish this post she's now sitting on the highest part of the couch, watching out the window. I'm going to have a heart attack.

My last bit of advice... get pet insurance. It might sound ridiculous but honestly this cost far more than I even imagined. I nearly shit a litter of kittens when I got the first estimate- but then realized I'd probably get charged another $1500 or so to have those cleaned up.
Send me money if you want to :)
